Redefining 'Much' | Capitalism & Cyberpunk with Blue Monday – The Invisible Cabaret Podcast: Mental Health & The Arts
Join cabaret producers and podcast hosts Rosie Verbose & Ferrero Rochelle, as they chat with troupe member Blue Monday about creativity & mental health. A talented singer and musician, Blue shares some of the inspiration behind her digital soundscapes, as well as some of the research she’s amassed about cyberpunk and how the need to make money affects our wellbeing. We also touch on themes such as lockdown (naturally), OCD, and dystopian fiction. It will make sense when you listen. Probably.
CW: abuse at 28.37 – 32.34

Yeah, I think when I make art, a lot of it is kind of built into this image of myself where everything has to be perfect. I have, like, overly high expectations for myself and I’m still trying to free myself from that mindset. So not having the pressure on to actually really do anything has been really good and it has inspired creativity in other ways.
