Balle Balle! | Burlesque and Bollywood with Bolly Ditz Dolly – The Invisible Cabaret Podcast: Mental Health & The Arts
Ferrero Rochelle and Rosie Verbose chat to Invisible Cabaret troupe member, Bolly Ditz Dolly, about Bollywood and burlesque (and bhajis). Ditz has performed her unique fusion of Bollywood and burlesque all over the shop, from Bitten Peach, OwPHWOARd and I Need to Cher, to being crowned the winner of Burlesque Idol UK 2019. In this episode, we explore her journey to burlesque, her creative process, and her passion for cooking samosas from scratch.
You can find BDD online at @bollyditz.dolly. Read more about her burlesque journey in this blog, or have a listen to more stories about her South Asian background on the acclaimed Masala Podcast.

I’ve seen people take like, elements of Bollywood and turn it queer and turn it into drag and turn it into so many different things. I was like, this is the Bollywood world I’ve always dreamed of. And it came true. And then I was like, ‘and where would I fit in that?’ It’s like, well, I’m just the ditz that’s just like, ‘Ta-dahhh!’
